Bridal portraits are back and we are loving that some of our brides are taking full advantage of this southern tradition! Bridal portraits are an opportunity for brides to take formal pictures in their dress a couple weeks before their wedding. This photoshoot includes the bride, her photographer, her dress, shoes, accessories, and sometimes a bouquet. It is a great opportunity to maximize the amount of pictures you have in your dress, which can be turned into a beautiful keepsake for your parents or groom. They also are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, and see if you are loving how your hair, makeup, and accessories look together. You may end up wanting to change something about your ensemble after the shoot.

When preparing for your bridal portraits, remember that your dress will get dirty if you are not careful! Bring your maid of honor or a bridesmaid to help you move around and set your dress down in clean spots. Also, don’t forget that you will need to let your seamstress know if you plan to do bridal portraits because it will speed up the alterations process. Lastly, make sure to have fun, be creative, and soak in being the beautiful bride that you are!
